Slowly, a pair of wide, shining green eyes appeared out of thin air, next, a wide, almost creepy, toothy grin appeared, then, the rest of the cat. Black-brown with interfering stripes of black and a teal color, Ches appeared in the Court of Miracles atop a roof, his all-too intelligent green eyes watching the chaos below. He quite liked the fact he could disappear and re-appear without so much as a wisp of grey fog. His ears and tail manifested last, and the long, skinny banded tail twitched from side to side almost in a metronome-like way.
Ches had been stuck in Wonderland for far too long, now he wanted to see what was out there, and he had so happened to land in the Gypsy underground capital. Standing, his fur shifted and ruffled softly as he padded to the edge of the ledge he had appeared on, watching everything below. He rose a paw, and licked it, carefully washing his delicate ears. He really had nothing else better to do, and if anyone spoke to him, they would more than likely get a riddle instead of a straight answer. Ches was bad for that, when he was bored he spoke in highly frustrating riddles that next to no one could figure out. It amused him greatly to see people getting frustrated over the complex answers he gave once in awhile.
"Such an interesting place..." He spoke quietly in that silken smooth voice of his, curiosity making him 'teleport' to the ground and hide in some shadows. Luminous green eyes sparkled and widened as he saw the dancing gypsies, such an interesting place this..perhaps he'd stay here for awhile...

It felt good to be home in the court of miracles, how she had missed her people and the town of Paris.Parting the curtains of her tent she stepped out and stretched her arms to the sky,Djali right behind her shaking his fur and also stretching.Seeing that everyone was up already and going about their buisness she glanced down to her long time friend, perhaps it was time to get something to eat.Though before she could take another step it suddenly dawned on her that Pheobus wasn't in the tent when she woke up,and neither was her son.Turning around she threw open the cloth of the tent door, glancing around inside for any sign of her husband or son.Had they not returned to Paris the same time she did,in fact all that time away from her own world she never once saw her son or husband. The gypsy did however see the judge, which was surprising to her to say the least. Her first encounter with him had been in Fairy Tale Lane, her second in ancient japan yet he had changed.
Esmeralda had tryed to confront him,yet she had seen him go after a new target a young brunette. He would never learn his lesson would he,though it had been her that ensnared him in her trap as he used to call it first. That girl could not be a witch, neither was she.It had been something she was branded as since she was a gypsy, but was she jealous of the brunette no she was not.Though that horrid old crone shouldn't be chasing after young girls in the first place,if she had her way she would have wanted him to stay dead. And no doubt about it Frollo was probably back in Paris, running things his way once again.
Djali glanced around, bleating sadly at not seeing the so called 'Sun God' and Zephyr.Kneeling down Esmeralda patted him gently on the head,as if telling him it was okay.So much had happened and now that they were back home, she would perhaps pay the judge a visit that is long overdue.Though for now she will stay hidden and watch from the shadows, standing back up she motioned with her head for the goat to follow. The jingle of her jewelry chiming as she walked, however Djali stopped when they neared the busier part of the court of miracles.Turning his head she noticed a pair of eyes in the shadows, bleating in fright the goat ran and almost knocked poor Esmeralda off her feet.
"Djali,what's gotten into you".

A low chuckle escaped the mouth of the unseen feline. He manifested the rest of his body, padding calmly out of the shadows and meowing at Esmeralda and Djali. He was cute, he was fluffy, and he looked like a common cat, except for the fact he could talk, and he could disappear at will.
Long, banded tail swished and curled, then uncurled, as he sat down near the gypsy's feet, licking a paw, he started cleaning his ears, trying to keep his grin from his face. This was going to be fun, playing this particular game, he'd play the part of the sweet, innocent, but don't touch me cat, then he'd speak a riddle, just to mess with the woman's head. A twinkle appeared in his eyes and he meowed again. He hadn't meowed in a very long time, so it was a bit rusty. He knew from experience the ladies were suckers for a fluffy, silky kitty that seemed to like them. SO he decided to play it up a little.
(Short post is short..sorry)

Feeling the goat scurrie behind her dress, the gypsy wondered what had gotten into the goat. Her emerald eyes looked back to the goat who just glanced up to her, then turned back to see a cat emerge from the shadows.Oh is that all that had scared him,it was just a fat cat who was probably lost and had found it's way down here.Djali got scared at every little thing almost, that's if it was scary of course or if it just happened to be lurking in the shadows.Looking down at the cat she kneeled down, patting him gently on the head. There was something off about this feline though she couldn't quite put her finger on it,she had seen quite a few cats in her court and in the streets of Paris. The way he meowed,it sounded as if he hadn't meowed in a very long time.
Djali came out from behind Esmeralda, keeping his guard up and approached the other animal. He didn't like it when the attention was taken away from him,so being cautious the goat sniffed the cat then looked up at Esmeralda. The gypsy stood up and brushed her dress off,she would have to see if Clopin was around.Since it seemed that things were back to normal down here and everyone was acting as if nothing ever happened, odd yes.Perhaps it had only been a handful of them that had been taken to different worlds,if that was so she was even more determined to find her husband and son also her papa.Clopin was like a father to her,he had raised her since she was a child.Looking back down to the two animals, she let a grin go across her lips before speaking.
"Alright who's hungry?"
Djali's ears perked up as he ignored the cat and jumped around happily,he was happy to be back in the court of miracles and had missed the meals cooked here. With a jerk of her head she motioned for the cat and Djali to follow her,she walked into the giant circle where some of her people were dancing while others played music. When Frollo had died the gypsies had decided to stay in the court of miracles, and some even moved up into the city since they had nothing to fear. The gypsy wondered if that poor brunette girl was alright, although Esmeralda had made friends with alot of the people in the other worlds. She had even tryed to help when it came to the villains, her eyes had witnessed some of the pain and suffering they had inflicted in that inn in ancient japan.
Before they had been thrown into a different world once again,Esmeralda had heard the brunette had a child. Her name had been Belle, and there were many others whom she had met.Such as Jim and his mother,a cute little girl named Penny who would probably make a good playmate for her son.Oh Zephyr where were you,and Pheobus were you alright as well.Coming upon a gypsy selling some fruit, she took some coins out and bought some apples and a few pears before thanking him and going to find a place to sit.Placing the fruit down she bit into a apple,as Djali began to eat a pear.

Post by Puss 'n' Boots on May 10, 2010 12:47:15 GMT -5
What was this new place that he somehow stumbled upon? In all of his travels, he never once had seen anything so strange. From what he could smell from his keen nose was that these people had been down here for quite some time. But that was of little consequence to him. This creature was very unusual to other animals of his species. For one, he stood on two legs and also wore boots, a hat with a large yellow feather in it and a sword at his hip. Puss ‘n’ Boots was his name or rather for short just plain Puss. Shrek, the ogre was the one who seemed to take to him kindly after their first meeting. Of course, that would probably be because he used his typical large cat eyes to appeal to his soft side. Although Donkey didn’t like him very much, they formed a somewhat agreeable friendship with each other. Since he wasn’t sure what kind of people would be down here, he kept to the shadows and climbed to high places to watch and observe those around him.
Many of these people seemed to dress in lavish colors and were dancing in the small little courtyards. Intrigued, he continued to watch when movement to his right caught his attention. Narrowing his green eyes, he stared at the other cat who seemed to be here. There was something off about that bluish cat and he could tell right away. Whether or not this creature would do harm to this human remained to be seen. Although Puss didn’t really do much assassination jobs anymore, he still had his sense of honor and pride to uphold. He didn’t take kindly to those who would take advantage or others. If he could, he would be more than willing to take this cat in combat to see if he truly was out to hurt this beautiful maiden.
However, he had to stifle a laugh at the goat when he saw it. Out of all things here, he had never imagined he’d be seeing such an animal here. He found it rather amusing that it was here and just thought flat out that goats were funny, especially since it seemed so jumpy over Ches. At the mention of food, his ears perked up and twitched his whiskers. Now this he could get a closer look at. It seemed forever since he had a good meal, or girls to hold him and call him cute. Letting a small smile come to his face, he treaded carefully above the cloth canopies, being very careful to not tear it in half. The last thing he wanted was to fall and hit the stone bottom. Although, something like that had happened to him before when he was stuck inside Donkey’s body. Suppressing a shudder, he twitched his ears as his green eyes came upon the fruit stand. Fruit…fah, where is the meat and fish?
Glancing around he lifted his head once more and tried to get a whiff of something he could eat. Smiling to himself, he picked up the scent of many mice roaming this area. Oh yes, he would have a feast here. Climbing down quietly, he landed on the floor of the court and quickly glanced around him, hoping no one saw. Puss may be an honorable cat, but he wasn’t one to really parade himself around if the situation didn’t call for it. Scurrying over towards the corners, he leapt at a mouse, his hat floating off his head as he did so and pounced upon the unsuspecting creature. The mouse was soon subdued and killed before he stuffed it in his mouth to eat.
